Call To Action: Speak Out For Hope on August 4th

                                                            President Barack Obama

Hi Folks!

I think it’s time for the true “silent” majority to step up and speak out!
I hope you will concur with this message and act accordingly.
Please pass it on if you agree.

Thanks!

Since his historic election, President Obama has been inundated with a barrage of venomous criticism. From the first cries calling for the failure of his administration by Vitter and Limbaugh to the media critique of his handling of the BP oil spill, his critics are unequivocal in telling us that he can do no right.

In the face of contrary evidence, “Birthers” rant that the President is not a US citizen and should be removed from office. Once closed by Senator Barry Goldwater, the “father” of modern conservatism, the Republican leadership has opened the doors of their party to the John Birch Society and other reactionary extremists. With cries of wanting to “take back OUR country” and “we want OUR America back,” the Tea Partiers clearly tell us that there is no room for his (The President’s) kind in their America – at least not in a position of leadership or Presidential Authority. Who remembers someone ever disrespectfully calling out “You Lie!” to either of the Bushes, Reagan, Ford or Nixon in the chambers of the US House of Representatives or someone openly carrying a loaded weapon to one of their political events?

The Fix - Obama's erosion among white voters continues

Here's another in the parade of "Obama Loses Support" articles making the rounds these days. Any day now, I expect to see an article about how the Harry Potter and Twilight casts feel about the U. S. President.

I am confident that Barack Obama will prevail after he cleans up the gulf oil spill, wins the wars in Iraq snd Afghanistan, saves the U. S. economy, passes finance reform, repeals DADT, closes Gitmo, pass an Energy bill, enact comprehensive Immigration reform, etc. etc. etc.  All the Republicans have to do is "just keep on saying NO" and wishing for the president to fail. Forget what's good for the country, just worry about big business and guns.

Sharron Angle: Take a Closer Look

Bye-bye Medicare and Social Security. I'd like to see the real Sharron Angle stand up and speak out about her radical beliefs.

Angle's campaign website was scrubbed of its spiciest material. Previously, her site featured an "issues" page, where Angle champions nuclear waste while deriding the UN, the Department of Education, "Obamacare," "illegals," and "an unscientific hysteria over the man-caused global warming hoax." That web page became inaccessible after Angel won the Republican nomination for Senator for Nevada, running against Democrat Harry Reid.

Well, I whispered in your ear about who the wealthest Congress persons and Senators are.  We've  checked on campaign contributions and contributors. We know that the president's annual salary is $400,000.  Now take a look at the pay of staffers at the White House.

Glenn Beck U. marks online debut next week - Yahoo! News

American conservative radio and television host, political commentator, author, and entrepreneur Glen Beck is opening his online university on July 7, 2010.

How do you register for Beck U. classes? You go to his website and sign up to become a member of “Insider Extreme,” essentially a GlennBeck.com VIP room, for $74.95 per year. More coins for Glen Beck's coffers. Like Alicia Keyes sings "some people want it all". Guess his $32 million salary for 2009-2010 wasn't enough.

Check out the link below for more details.

Bobby Jindall: Cast The First Stone

Governor Bobby Jindal, (R-LA)

My pastor recently delivered a sermon focusing on the message that only he who is without sin should cast the first stone. (I know you know the story so I won't bother with the details.) He showed a video to give the congregation a mental picture of how the scene played out. While I listened to the sermon and watched the video I stayed focused on the religious message, but a little later I had another thought. I realized I should have searched the faces in the angry crowd for today's politicans who are guilty of the same things they attribute to the current administration in Washington, but cast stone after stone for political gains.

Case in point, for several weeks, LA Gov. Bobby Jindal has complained about BP and the federal government's lack of adequate response to the oil spill in the Gulf. When local officials and citizens lodged the same complaint about state government's response, the governor speedily vetoed a state bill which would have made all records from his office regarding the spill public. The bill was introduced by a fellow Republican and readily passed the Democratic controlled Legislature.  After the veto, Jindall sealed all public records of his office related to the oil spill .

The Daily Kos published the following:
... New York Times recently reported that experts at the state and federal level had panned Jindal's response, saying the state was ill-prepared for the spill and that Jindal's attacks on the Federal response smacked of political calculation designed to distract attention from his own failures.
Last week, CBS revealed that despite Jindal's attacks on the Obama administration for not delivering enough resources, Jindal was holding up the deployment of 5,000 National Guard troops authorized by the Obama administration.
Sounds like the pot calling the kettle black to me. Another lesson learned.
