President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama offer treats to trick-or-treaters October 29, 2011 to celebrate Halloween on the North Portico of the White House in Washington, DC.
Trick-or-treaters from capital area elementary schools and children of military families enjoyed the Halloween decorations and festivities.Treats include White House M&Ms, sweet dough butter cookies baked by White House Pastry Chef Bill Yosses and a serving of dried fruit.
Children from military families also have been invited to attend a special Halloween party inside the White House on Saturday evening.
